Bushbury Lane Academy officially joined REAch2 Academy Trust in March this year. Formerly known as Oxley Primary School, the school was re-named Bushbury Lane Academy and is the first school to join the Trust in Wolverhampton.

The school which has 213 children aged between 3-11, believes in providing children with an education that is imaginative and creative, and that offers all children the chance to enjoy learning and to understand their place in the world around them. They also aim to offer children experiences that will develop the skills they need to excel in a 21st century world.

Kate Benton, Acting Headteacher, Bushbury Lane Academy, said:

“We had such a fantastic day with the support of so many parents, members of the community, and family from REAch2 and Bushbury Lane. The event marks the start of our journey at Bushbury Lane where we strive to give children the opportunities that they deserve.”

Cathie Paine, Deputy CEO of REAch2, said:

“We’ve all had a wonderful time celebrating a new start for Bushbury Lane and welcoming them into the REAch2 family. The atmosphere was fantastic and we are all very excited about the school’s future.”
