REAch2 meets the Prime Minister

REAch2’s Chief Executive, Steve Lancashire, and Deputy Chief Executive, Cathie Paine met the Prime Minister, David Cameron, on Monday evening. Steve and Cathie were attending an invitation only reception at Downing Street to recognise and celebrate excellence in state education. The invitation is recognition of the Trust’s impact so far and the difference it is making towards improving the learning and life chances of pupils.

Cathie said: “Being invited to attend such a prestigious event and to have the opportunity to tell the Prime Minister about the hard work of staff and pupils across REAch2 was an honour and a privilege. The Prime Minister was very interested in the development of the Trust and he is aware of the impact we have made so far.”

The visit comes two weeks after Lord Nash, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools, described REAch2 as “currently our most successful primary academy sponsor” in a speech to the Academies Show.
