About REAch2 Multi Academy Trust

REAch2 is the largest primary only Academy Trust, unswerving in our ambition to raise attainment and achieve excellence for all pupils. We are committed to enabling individual schools to flourish with a high degree of autonomy whilst benefiting from a strong culture of support and collaboration.

REAch2 is a cornerstone of over fifty academies: a strong, responsible foundation providing a solid base, from which every academy can build and grow.

We believe that the quality of our staff sets us apart. This is an exciting time of growth to the Trust in our mission to provide ‘Exceptional Opportunities for Learning’ for over 20,000 children.

About this role

REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Director of Capital to join the Trust to lead on the strategy and management of REAch2’s current estate and Free School programme.

You will be responsible for the construction of new buildings, extensions, conversions and other changes to existing facilities and will ensure that a maintenance programme accommodates forward looking projects as well as a timely response to requirements as they occur.

This role is directly responsible for the planning, management and delivery of the Free School programme to ensure academies, whether self-delivery or otherwise, are delivered on time, on budget and to the standards required by the Department for Education (DoE), Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), and REAch2.

You will ensure that all the Trust’s assets comply with legal and regulatory standards, that policies and procedures are robust and that academies are safe places of learning, leading the way in design, environment and efficiency. You’ll manage a team of regional maintenance surveyors and project managers who liaise with Trustees, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Local Authorities (LA) and contractors.

As Director of Capital you will be able to hit the ground running and quickly immerse yourself within the REAch2 ethos and culture. Previous experience within a similar role – managing complex, multi-million pound school construction projects would be ideal.

This role will suit a dynamic, disciplined and experienced professional whose core values are aligned to our Touchstones. We foster a collaborative culture where talented individuals can produce their best work. We value high standards and personal contribution.
