REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Head of Health and Safety

About REAch2 Multi Academy Trust

REAch2 is the largest primary only Academy Trust, unswerving in our ambition to raise attainment and achieve excellence for all pupils. We are committed to enabling individual schools to flourish with a high degree of autonomy whilst benefiting from a strong culture of support and collaboration.

REAch2 is a cornerstone of over fifty academies: a strong, responsible foundation providing a solid base, from which every academy can build and grow. We believe that the quality of our staff sets us apart. This is an exciting time of growth to the Trust in our mission to provide ‘Exceptional Opportunities for Learning’ for over 20,000 children.

About this role

REAch2 is seeking an exceptional and inspirational leader to join our Trust as Head of Health and Safety.

This role calls for much more than developing, managing and monitoring policy and procedure. As the Trust grows, the Head of Health and Safety will develop a culture of holistic health and safety, going beyond the normal processes, systems and training to embed high standards of personal welfare and wellbeing in over fifty primary schools across England.

As subject matter expert for our academies, the Head of Health and Safety will be a leader in their field and an inspiration for our academies, introducing innovative ways to ensure a duty of care for all – pupils, employees and visitors to our sites. Policies, procedures and effective management systems will be key. Multi-site expertise is important to coordinate the highest level of consistent care across the organisation.

You will be able to hit the ground running and quickly immerse yourself within the REAch2 ethos and culture. You can expect hands on support from the senior leadership team and a qualified, dedicated health and safety trustee to promote best practice. REAch2 values high standards and personal contribution. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual.

You will hold CMIOSH status as a minimum.
