Project Manager  – Reach South Academy Trust

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to join a new and developing Multi Academy Trust (MAT). Reach South has been established in Plymouth with its first eight primary academies.  We are planning to expand over the next twelve months into Bournemouth and Wiltshire.  Our first Special Academy, in Wiltshire, is expected to join us in November 2017.  We are also working towards our first mainstream secondary academy joining us later in the year.

Reach South is a part of the REACH family of MATs. The founding Trust, REAch2 Academy Trust, was launched in 2012 by its founder Sir Steve Lancashire and now operates 55 academies across the Midlands and South East of England.  Reach South operates across the South West of England.

This post will focus on the projects for Reach South Academy Trust but will also work closely as part of the wider Programme Office within REAch2 Academy Trust. Day-to-day coordination of this role will be through the REACH Head of Projects.

The key area of project management will be academy conversions, academy sponsorships, academy re-brokerages and MAT mergers. These are well-defined processes for schools joining the Trust.  The project manager will coordinate the due diligence, risk management, and project sequencing with colleagues in the DfE, Local Authorities, legal advisors, Headteachers, school business managers, HR advisors, premises advisors, finance team and education advisors.  The project manager will be responsible for the production of project reports and maintaining the risk register.

This post holder will also be involved with the establishment of new free schools and supporting colleagues within the REAch2 project office.

This is an opportunity for a self-motivated and very well organised individual that is looking to be part of a new and dynamic charitable education Trust that is being established in the South West.

Opportunities and benefits: We offer a competitive salary plus LGPS pension, 28 days’ holiday, great career progression and development opportunities with many other benefits.
