Inspirational Class Teacher required at Veritas Primary Academy
Post: KS2 Teacher required to start September 2020 (6 months’ fixed term Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full Time, 32.5 hours per week
Salary: Teachers Main Scale (M1 to M6)

Veritas Primary Academy is a bright and vibrant two form entry school for children aged 3 to 11 years old that opened its doors in September 2015. We are a very friendly school where we aim to provide exceptional learning opportunities for all children. We set high expectations for our children both behaviorally and academically and offer a wide range of creative, inspirational lessons through all areas of the curriculum. Our children are encouraged to become confident, caring and articulate and to use their abilities to the full.
We are part of the REAch2 Academy Trust family and foster close links with other schools throughout the Trust aiming to share resources, facilities and expertise to ensure the best teaching and learning possible.
We are seeking to appoint a new member of staff to join our dynamic team of committed teachers on our remarkable journey in contributing to the achievement of our vision to ensuring all children reach their full potential. This maternity position will be to cover a KS2 class. Whilst this position is for a maternity cover, as a growing school it is expected that we will be looking to recruit a teacher again for September 2021.

Successful candidates will be asked to prepare a presentation for the interview day talking us through a lesson they have taught (or a fictional planned lesson). You will need to share the planning and take us through the lesson format/structure; what the key learning is; and resources you would use; how you would differentiate the lesson; outcomes and any follow up tasks. Further information will be sent to shortlisted candidates.
Interview Date and Task Completion: Wednesday 27th May 2020 (this will be in school following social distancing protocols or if preferred can also be conducted via Zoom)
