Reporting to: Headteacher and working closely with key senior members of staff

School/Location: Summerside Primary Academy, Crossway, Finchley, N12 0QU

Start Date: January 2021

Hours: 25 hours a week. Term time only.

Closing Date: Monday 2nd November

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for supporting all children to achieve their potential
  • Is able to support identified children who may be vulnerable or have emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Holds a relevant qualification in working with children and can show evidence of relevant and recent experience in an educational or child protection environment. Is willing to undertake further training.
  • Is willing to lead on Child Protection as part of a team with Deputy Head and Headteacher.
  • Has experience of working with families.
  • Has experience of working with outside agencies.
  • Is flexible and a committed to team-working. Can be proactive and drive initiatives forward.
  • Is committed to giving the best to every child.
  • Is enthusiastic, committed and resilient.
  • Has great personal organisation, communication skills and good ICT skills.

We welcome applications from experienced Pastoral Care Workers, Learning Mentors or from people with other relevant experience of working with children, who can demonstrate their ability to engage children from a range of backgrounds.
